State Representative Leanne Krueger (PA 161) launched her re-election campaign on Sunday, February 8, 2020, at Hobbs Coffee in Swarthmore. Introduced by State Senator Tim Kearney, who stressed the importance of gaining Democratic majorities in both the state House and Senate this fall, Krueger spoke of both the tight races she’s won in the past and the municipalities that flipped in her favor in 2018, declaring, “I can see hope on the horizon.”
The coffee shop near the Swarthmore train station was filled between 4:00 and 6:00, packed with voters signing petitions for Krueger, Congressman Mary Gay Scanlon, and several voters seeking signatures on petitions to represent individual Presidential candidates at the Democratic National Convention.
