The urgent request showed up in inboxes and on social media on a Tuesday afternoon: email the Board of Elections to support Mail-in Ballot Drop Boxes and Mail-in Ballot Drop-off locations throughout the county before their Thursday, August 20, meeting.
Delco Democrats answered the call in a big way.
It took the clerk more than four and a half hours to read all of the emailed comments into the public record, and nearly every comment was in support of Drop Boxes and county wide Drop-Off locations.
The result? The Board of Elections voted 2 to 1 in favor of Mail-in Ballot Drops Boxes and Drop-off locations throughout the county.
This is the kind of power we have when we all take small, consistent actions toward supporting fair and accessible elections in Delaware County.
