The Brookhaven Democratic Committee is an all-volunteer organization of dedicated Democrats who work together to promote a strong local party, endorse and support candidates, and share our strengths through outreach in our community.
There are lots of ways for you, fellow Brookhaven Democrat, to get involved, whether you can participate only on an ad hoc basis, an ongoing basis, or seek to become a Committee member or run for office.
Here are some ways you can get involved:
Voter Outreach
- Literature drops
- Canvassing
- Phone banking
- Postcard writing
- Outreach to new residents
- Store and distribute lawn signs around election time
Events and Fundraising
- Plan an event
- Host an event
- Assist with event planning and/or hosting
- Attend events
- Donate to the Committee
Community Engagement
- Attend meetings & report back to the committee:
- Brookhaven Borough Council
- Penn-Delco School District
- Delaware County Council
Election Support
- Recruit candidates
- Host petition parties prior to Primary Election Day
- Circulate candidates’ petitions prior to Primary Election Day
- Coordinate Election Day volunteers
- Serve as a poll worker
- Greet at the polls
- Serve as a poll watcher
- Election Day lawn sign Set-up and/or Take-Down

- Become a Committee member
